In what can only be the start of Doug Ford’s dog-whistling to far-right supporters, Ford blamed families fleeing Trump for the housing crisis facing Toronto.

But, unsurprisingly, it’s completely untrue with zero basis in reality.

Twitter user Gil Meslin, an urban planner and social scientist, explains what’s actually causing Toronto’s housing crisis.

His conclusion? There are many reasons as so to why housing prices are so hight. And it has nothing to do with asylum seekers fleeing Donald Trump.
