Pledge to Oppose Trump-Style Hatred in Canada

The Far-Right is on the rise and Canada is not immune.

Andrew Scheer and other right0wing politicians are copying Trump’s attacks on refugees and immigrants. Their goal is to divide and turn us against each other.

During his time as leader of the Conservative Party, Andrew Scheer has used increasingly inflammatory language to vilify refugees coming into Canada. From manufacturing a fake ‘crisis’ to spreading misinformation about refugees “jumping the queue,” Scheer has mirrored Trump’s xenophobic rhetoric.[1] [2] Scheer has even taken a tactic right out of Trump’s playbook by using the spectre of the MS13 gang to claim that refugees pose a threat to Canadians. [3]

This election, we have a choice. Do we choose to value our diversity and continue being a welcoming nation? Or do we choose Andrew Scheer and his demonization of others?

If you think Canada is better off with refugees and immigrants, pledge to oppose Scheer’s Trumpian attacks on refugee rights.
