Tell Ford: Don’t Cut Our Health Care

According to news reports, Doug Ford is planning hundreds of millions in cuts to MRIs, critical tests, pain management and health services you and your family rely on.[1]

Documents obtained by media show that the Ford government is estimating “as much as 30 per cent of medical services in Canada are unnecessary and inappropriate.[2] A whole range of basic healthcare services could no longer be covered.

One of these even includes sedation during colonoscopies. Experts say it’s “unthinkable”, “invasive” and “extremely critical” to have sedation.[3]

Tell Doug Ford right now that you oppose these dangerous cuts to your health care.

Ford plans to cut $460 million from OHIP. This includes numerous tests and procedures that Ontarians rely on. 

Things like pain medication could be on the chopping block as Ford tries to pay for his massive tax cuts and government jobs for PC party insiders.

The list of procedures is massive and includes: sedatives during colonoscopies, diabetes management, echocardiograms,  tonsillectomies, pain management medication and limiting psychotherapy.
